Technicians
Shannon

Shannon is a Licensed Veterinary Technician that started as an assistant with our practice in March 2006. She has been interested in the Veterinary field since helping her grandfather at his Veterinary practice as a child. She graduated with honors from the NOVA Veterinary Technician program in May 2009. Shannon lives in Centerville with her family, her two dogs Toby and Jax, her cat Guinness and a tank full of fish. In her spare time she loves to take her kayak out or do anything outdoors.
Annie
Annie joined our practice in September of 2003. She graduated with honors from George Mason University with a BA in psychology. She soon realized her passion is in working with animals. She returned to her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Annie plans to attend veterinary school with the goal of becoming a wildlife veterinarian. She loves to be outdoors, watching birds and enjoying nature. She has two playful and affectionate cats, Yuri & Heno.
Mary
Mary joined LRVC in May of 2009 after moving to the area with her husband. She is currently in school pursuing her veterinary technician degree. Mary loves working with animals and has been in the veterinary technician field for 3 years. In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and family, spending time outdoors 4-wheeling and going camping with their dog, Hank.
Receptionists
Susan

Susan is a native of Northern Virginia with a background in business administration and elementary education with Fairfax County Public Schools. She resides here in the City of Fairfax. Hobbies include restoring classic cars with her husband and going to car shows. She loves going to the beach, spending time with her children and her dog Carli, a 2 year old rescue mixed breed, and horseback riding in her free time.
Nancy
Nancy joined the Little River team in 2006 after moving from Philadelphia, PA. She's loved animals of all kinds ever since she was a child, having everything from reptiles to cats and birds. Her current family includes two Siberian Huskies (Ekko and Taj) and one Alaskan Malamute (Kona). Since moving to the Northern VA area, she has surrounded herself with friends who have two common interests, animals and Jeeps. This has lead to most of her free time being spent outdoors hiking, camping, and off-roading with her 'kids'.
Giselle
Giselle joined the Little River family in August 2008 as a receptionist. She wanted to continue learning about the veterinary field after working at another veterinary clinic in Florida. Giselle is here to answer any general questions you may have about our services, vaccinations, and preventative care for your pet. Giselle resides in Fairfax with her family and fluffy Pomeranian Foxy.
Erik

Erik has been with LRVC since the summer 2005. He has returned during most of his holiday breaks while away from JMU. He is currently pursuing degrees in Biology and Computer Information Systems. He aspires to incorporate the technical skills and his adoration of the natural world into a career that will in some way positively impact the environment and all of its living things. His interests include hiking, reading and playing with his 3 puppies Lady, Maddie and Lucky.
Assistants
Graham
Graham joined the practice in 2003 and is one of our veterinary assistants. Graham received his bachelor’s degree in 2008 from George Mason University. In addition to all his duties as an assistant, Graham is our "handy man", taking care of a wide variety of duties around the hospital. Graham resides in Fairfax with his family and their dogs, Jenny and Jake.
Liz
Liz is a certified veterinary assistant and has been working at LRVC since March 2008. She will be pursuing a veterinary technician’s degree in the future and hopes to use her skills to change the world around her. She lives in Manassas with her husband, two cats Hershey and Lilith and puppy MJ. In her spare time she enjoys being in the woods, outside in general, and taking pictures of everything.
Kristin
Kristin joined the practice in 2006 as a veterinary assistant. She lives in Fairfax with her sister and their 3 dogs Anita, Chippy, and Chompy and her turtle Pokey. In her spare time she enjoys going to the dog park with her 3 dogs.
